The workshops will be based around the SmartFusion Evaluation Kit (A2F-Eval-Kit) offering embedded engineers a true technical hands-on experience covering the FPGA fabric, ARM® Cortex™-M3 processor and the Microcontroller Subsystem (MSS). Each of the Speedway workshops will also cover programmable analogue, with the key benefits of the analogue compute engine (ACE) and the free Actel Libero, and soft-consol tools.
“SmartFusion FPGAs are ideal for hardware and embedded designers who need a true system-on-chip (SoC) solution that gives them more flexibility than traditional fixed-function microcontrollers,” commented Chris Withers, business development manager at Avnet Memec. “The workshops have been designed to give engineers a real feel for the development process and the flexibility that the product provides.”
