More choices for electronically controlling small engines

Two new devices designed to reduce system complexity and shorten time to market for one- and two-cylinder small engines are now available. The one-cylinder (MC33813) and two-cylinder (MC33814) electronic control semiconductors are for transportation, industrial and consumer applications. The ICs compliment and extend Freescale’s motorcycle engine control unit (ECU) reference platform, which contains Freescale’s MC9S12 MCU

##IMAGE_1_R##Freescale’s product portfolio includes a wide range of 16- and 32-bit MCUs with companion analog and mixed signal ICs (U-Chip) that offer high-quality, cost-effective solutions for the requirements of evolving automotive quality standards, motorcycle and small engine control.

Future generation will be based on system in chip package (SiP) to match with integration and cost effectiveness needs of this application.

Target Applications:
Scooter
Motorcycle Engine Control Unit (ECU)
Three-wheeler
Lawn equipment
Small Engine
Gasoline driven electric generators
Marine engines and personal watercraft
