Elan's USB 2.0 Host Controller for embedded applications
Elan Digital Systems has launched a new version of its highly successful VMB5000A USB host controller device in a new role. The new device, the VMB5000AE, is designed to be configured as a standard USB 2.0 host controller bridge to 16 bit u controller bus.
ThisFeatures include low power consumption, typically12mA operating and 120uA in sleep mode. The device is in a small size 64 VQFN package and has integrated EEPROM write-protected memory space for utility/ security storage. It is WHQL qualified, with Linux, Mac and CE drivers, and is available now from Elan Digital Systems.
