Altera’s FPGAs have a strong track record of superior signal integrity, and this new kit allows users to evaluate transceiver performance for jitter, protocol compliance, and equalisation at up to 8.5 Gbps through a simple-to-use graphical user interface (GUI).
The release of our Stratix IV GX signal integrity kit is another successful milestone in Altera’s deployment of the industry’s first 40-nm FPGAs, said Luanne Schirrmeister, senior director of component product marketing, Altera. Over the coming months, Altera will deliver even more 40-nm devices and development kits that will continue to drive the evolution of next-generation markets, such as video over IP, 4G wireless and digital TV.
