The new Kea from Essemtec is the preferred screen/stencil printer for versatile production processes that value high quality and process control. Its software controls all printing parameters, and it is converted quickly and setup easily.

The Kea semiautomatic printer combines two successful technological concepts in a single machine: the sliding print table for easy loading and the same software-controlled processing as automatic printers. Kea also features vision for automatic recognition of reference marks, pads or edges.

All of the printer’s motions are motorized and, as a result, its software can control all process parameters. This provides print quality that — until now — only fully automatic printers have been able to deliver. As an example, stencil separation speed is fully programmable, giving significant benefits to electronics manufacturers that print ultra-fine pitch structures.

The advanced software simplifies product setup and changeover: the printer features a setup wizard covering all necessary parameter inputs and a unique point-and-click function for vision setup.

The integrated vision automatically verifies substrate alignment before printing. Printing is disabled when the alignment is out of the specified limits. If the substrate is correctly positioned, the printing process runs fully automatically and is controlled by software. In this way, Kea guarantees the highest printing quality and reliability for the complete series.

Additionally, borderless printing on substrates up to 400x460mm is possible. The universal PCB holder is suitable for single- and double-sided substrates, and a vacuum table for foil printing also is available. Screen and stencil tension frames up to 23 can be used.
