IP access on the KVM switch is via a Cat6 serial interface connected to the first power strip with subsequent power strips daisy chained to a maximum of 16. The KVM Switch has simple secure GUI (Graphic User Interface) management interface. The web based GUI software allows the user to see real time data and provides remote control and monitoring of over a TCP/IP Ethernet network. The serial option is the lowest cost management tool and this allows local monitoring and control of the PDU network using the same GUI software. InfraPower PDU solutions are designed to support daisy chain connections allowing up to 320 outlets cascaded via a standard Cat 6 cable.
As well as remote on/off control, the PDU strips also feature an easy to read field replaceable digital ammeter that accurately measures the power on individual strips. The KVM IP Matrix switches covers up to four-user simultaneous remote access including one local, one remote at 300m away and two IP users on four different KVM ports at any one time.
