NEW Atmel SAMA5D3 series Cortex-A5 boards by RONETIX

Ronetix announced a new SODIMM-sized System-On-Module based on the newest Atmel’s ARM Cortex-A5 based SAMA5D3 series processor. Clocked at 536MHz, SAMA5D3x-CM offers 512MiB DDR2, 256MiB NAND Flash, 16MiB NOR Flash, 4MiB Serial Flash, and extensive I/O including one Serial EEPROM SPI, 1-Wire EEPROM DS2431 and Gigabit Ethernet PHY.

Measuring only 67x40mm, the SAMA5D3-CM runs Linux 4.0 and Android 2.3.7 BSPs.

Ronetix offers four different CM boards equipped with an Atmel ARM-based embedded MPU, as listed below, in a BGA324-ball BGA package:

– SAMA5D33-CM – populated with AT91SAMA5D33

– SAMA5D35-CM – populated with AT91SAMA5D35

– SAMA5D31-CM – populated with AT91SAMA5D31

– SAMA5D34-CM – populated with AT91SAMA5D34

All four boards are sharing the same circuit design with minor configuration and have an identical footprint.

– 512 MiB DDR2 SDRAM, 32-bit

– 4 MiB Atmel SPI Flash

– 10/100/1000 MBit/s Ethernet

– One Wire 1024-bits EEPROM and 64-bits ROM

– SO-DIMM 200 JEDEC MO-274 module

– Temperature: 0° +60°C oder -40° to +85° C

– RoHC – compliant

The Ronetix SAMA5D3x-CM boards is a high-performance, power-efficient embedded MPU based on the ARM Cortex-A5 processor, achieving 536 MHz with power consumption levels below 0.5 mW in low-power mode.

Availability

The Ronetix SAMA5D3-CM modules are available now, with a choice of Atmel SAMA5D31, SAMA5D33, SAMA5D34 or SAMA5D35 processors.
