Nexcom Launches Fan-Less Industrial PC designed for Industrial Automation

The new NISE 3270 from Nexcom, is a robust Fan-less Industrial PC which has been specifically designed for applications within factory environments. Equipped with two RS422/RS485 and RS232 interfaces with automatic flow control and isolation up to 2000 VDC and ±15 KV ESD protection, NISE 3270 is the ideal computing platform for process automation, monitoring and control.
The new NISE 3270 from Nexcom, is a robust Fan-less Industrial PC which has been specifically designed for applications within factory environments. Equipped with two RS422/RS485 and RS232 interfaces with automatic flow control and isolation up to 2000 VDC and ±15 KV ESD protection, NISE 3270 is the ideal computing platform for process automation, monitoring and control.

The system is based on an ETX modular design and is equipped with an Onboard 1.6GHz Intel® Atom™ N270 processor and 1 GB DDR2 memory. To enable NISE 3270 to communicate with a variety of external devices, the platform is equipped with a multitude of I/O interfaces including two RS232 and RS422/485 (Automatic Flow Control and Isolation) interfaces, four USB ports, two LAN ports, one PCMCIA socket and one VGA port. Additional expansion is available via PCI or via an optional upgrade kit which can be attached to the base unit to allow functions such as CD-ROM, PC/104 or PCI 104 to be added. Furthermore, an optional NVRAM socket is reserved for memory backup SRAM, which offers optional dedicated plug-in NVRAM memory.

NISE 3270 is equipped with 1 GB of DDR memory and can support compact flash and a 2.5 HDD. The platform has been designed for 24/7 operation in even harsh industrial environments and can run off voltages from +9 to +36 VDC.
