High-performance Box IPC with Intel Core i5/i7 processor and QM57 chipset

With the high-performance NanoServer E6-QM57, DSM Computer presents in Hall 7, Booth 150 at the SPS/IPC/Drives its first Box IPC. This computer is based on the Intel® chipset QM57 and the Intel® Core™ i5 520M or i7 620M processor with two CPU cores. The graphic controller is integrated in the processor. The overall heat loss of the dual-chip solution lies significantly below the value of the previous solutions that consisted of the three components: processor, chipset and graphic controller. The integrated DDR3 RAM as fast working memory with a maximum storage capacity of 8 GB also ensures the high computing performance. The Intel® Core™ ix processors support the Turbo Boost technology. This means the NanoServer® E6-QM57 provides high performance coupled with optimized energy efficiency that is particularly suited for sophisticated computing and graphical applications.

The compact Box IPC with dimensions of 204 x 226 x 109 mm provides two PCI slots or alternatively a PCI and a PCI Express™ slot. With the E6-QM57, DSM Computer’s NanoServer® product line consisting of the E4 which occupies one slot and the slim-line E8 which doesn’t require a slot, is a complete system.

The E6-QM57 provides with DVI-I, DVI-D and VGA three connections for displays. In addition to the 1000 Base-T LAN, it offers a number of different interfaces: Four Serial ATA for SATA II 300 devices, ten USB 2.0 (six external, four internal), four serial ports (one external, three internal), PS/2 and audio. The robust industrial housing provides space for up to two 2.5 inch Solid State Drives (SSDs) or HDDs (24/7, SATA II 300). The screwed-on base cover allows direct access to the internal Mini PCI Express™ slot, the internal Compact Flash socket and an integrated hard disk, and is therefore easy to maintain.

The flexible NanoServer® E6-QM57 embedded system can be operated with an external 100-240 VAC power pack or optionally with 24 V. The active cooling of the system permits 0° – 50° C as rated operating temperature range.

Windows® XP, Windows® 7 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows® Server 2003 and Server 2008 64-bit (R2) as well as Linux are supported as operating systems.

DSM guarantees for the in-house developed and manufactured NanoServer® E6-QM57 an availability of at least four years after product market introduction. CE-conform design, burn-in and a warranty of two years are standard for all embedded systems.
