AIS Releases Remote Data Acquisition (DAQ) Modules for DCS Control, Factory Automation and Plant Process Automation
American Industrial Systems Inc. American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS) introduces a line of data acquisition (DAQ) distributed (remote) I/O modules which offers flexible data collection inputs for industrial automation control Panel PC´s. The AIS distributed I/O modules are available in digital and analog configurations, which are communicable via RS-485. AIS´ distributed I/O and remote I/O modules send signals from field-mounted sensors, transmitters, transducers, and alarms directly to DCS and PC-based HMI systems.
The Analog Data Acquisition Modules
AIS´ lines of versatile analog I/O modules are designed to meet the precise needs of sensitive data acquisition applications. Available modules include thermostat, thermocouple, RTD, strain gauge, and universal I/O, as well as high resolution analog output modules.

AIS offers a multitude of versatile digital I/O modules to meet the ever-changing needs of industrial consumers. From basic digital I/O, to high speed counters, to relay based I/O; AIS can meet your distributed I/O data acquisition needs. The remote I/O modules communicate via standard RS-485 protocol, and are compliant with a multitude of industrial control devices on the market today.
The digital and analog I/O modules are fully compatible with AIS´ complete line of HMI Operator Panel PC’s for monitor monitoring, control, and real-time data acquisition viewing. Capable of running Window CE, Windows XP, and the latest Windows 7 modules, AIS´ Industrial Touch Screen PC´s are running the latest PC-based Control software such as Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#, Embedded Visual C++, SCADA software, Soft PLC, etc. Built using the industrial grade components designed for longevity, reliability and performance in the most adverse industrial applications. AIS´commercial off the shelf (COTS) predesigned operator terminals provide a cost effective control interface which is easily integrated to new and existing installations reducing the time to market and competitiveness where service, availability, reliability, and technology are paramount.
