MoRoS with EnOcean-technique - connecting EnOcean devices via mobile radio
The mobile radio control center MoRoS EnOcean significantly reduces the workload for building services and maintenance engineers. It facilitates the transmission of alarm messages in case of accidentally opened emergency exits and the status monitoring of unnecessary permanent lighting and opened windows: all connected EnOcean sensors and actuators can now also be remote monitored by mobile phones, PCs or notebooks via mobile radio networks.
Fanless PanelPC has PCT Flat Bezel
BVM announces the new AFL-F08A, an 8” fanless touchscreen PC with projected capacitive touchscreen options. The unit is based on the Intel Atom N270 processor running at 1.6GHz, Intel 945GSE and ICH7M chipsets with addressing for up to 2GB of RAM. The flat bezel design provides a clean front face sealed to IP64, allowing unit to be installed in many different operating environments. In addition to single point resistive touchscreen operation, t...

New Range Of Rugged Triaxial Analogue Accelerometers
Inertial Aerosystems announced the availability of a new addition to its range of rugged, low cost, triaxial analogue accelerometers. Designated the 2470 range, it is manufactured by U.S. based Silicon Designs Inc. The range consists of seven models that cover DC and dynamic accelerations from +/-2g to +/-200g full scale. Utilising established MEMS technology they have an extensive temperature range of-55 to 110 degrees C.
Non-Volatile, Quad Digital Potentiometers Deliver Static Current Consumption of 5 Microamperes (maximum)
Microchip announces the MCP4341, MCP4342 (MCP434X), MCP4361 and MCP4362 (MCP436X) quad digital potentiometers. The 7- and 8-bit, non-volatile devices feature an SPI interface and static current consumption of just 5 microamperes (maximum). They are specified for operation from – 40° C to 125° C and are available in space-saving packages as small as 4mm x 4mm QFN, making them ideal for consumer and industrial applications, such as power-supp...
Amplicon adds value with WebEx
In an age where cost-cutting and outsourcing of critical functions are reducing customer service levels across the board, Amplicon is bucking the trend with investment in a new WebEx facility.
Broadband in America: Achieving 100 Mbps to 100 Million and Beyond
As the Federal Communications Commission readies its National Broadband Plan to go before Congress mid-March, many approaches to delivering next-generation broadband services are being discussed. One of the most effective and rapidly deployable approaches continues to be the fiber-to-the-node architecture that employs traditional copper telephone lines – combined with advanced broadband DSL technology – as the last mile connection for consume...
