Industrial-grade CompactFlash card connectors from SUYIN with integrated ejection mechanism
Due to their excellent robustness and impact resistance qualities, CompactFlash (CF) memory cards are increasingly also making inroads into industrial applications as replacements for hard drives. In order to be able to accept these CF cards, the CompactFlash card connector must also have an equally rugged design capable of withstanding mechanical shocks.
N is offering the 127631MB050XX06XX connector, which is just such an industrial-grade version with a robust metal housing. It has has been subjected to vibration testing according to EIA-364-28 (III) and shock testing according to EIA-364-27 (A). This Type-II, 50-position SMT CF card connector (with a height of 5 mm, a length of 45.2 mm and a width of 53.1 mm) features a convenient pop-up ejection mechanism on the left side and offers two additional through-hole (THT) solder contacts, which provide a steady hold on the printed circuit board, even when subjected to high insertion and extraction forces. Two locating posts help make mounting easier and provide additional mechanical stability. The gold-plated contacts with a pitch of 1.27 mm made of copper alloy are rated for a voltage of 100 V AC per pin and a current of 0.5 A per pin and are specified for 10,000 mating cycles. SUYIN expressly points out that, depending on the order volume and delivery times, diverse customer-specification adaptations can be made, for instance for higher numbers of mating cycles, different types of contact plating, special colours, etc.
The new CF card connectors are available in production volumes. In addition, SUYIN's portfolio also includes numerous Type-I CompactFlash card connectors as well as other Type-II connectors.
