RF cable assemblies bring improved stability

Authorized distributor Mouser Electronics is now shipping the new Nitrowave RF cable assemblies from Samtec.

Nitrowave RF cable assemblies offer improved stability with flexure and Nitrowave cable technology in distinctive Samtec orange for aerospace, defence, computer, and instrumentation applications.

The Samtec Nitrowave RF cable assemblies provide coaxial structure with flexure, optimized phase and amplitude stable frequencies, lower-density dielectric ratings, and state-of-the-art shielding and silver plating enhancements for mechanical and environmental robustness.

They are recognizable by the distinctive Samtec orange Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) jacket, and purposefully designed with a dynamic performance layer (DPL) that improves insertion loss performance, durability, strength, and stability by eliminating friction between cable shielding.

This results in more accurate, dependable performance throughout the service life of the cable, even when subjected to consistent movement and bending.

Samtec’s orange Nitrowave cables are available in multiple target frequencies (32 GHz, 43.5 GHz, 71 GHz, 95 GHz and 110 GHz) and product series (LL032, LL043, LL071, LL095 and LL110), with a variety of connector end options (1.0 mm, 1.85 mm, 2.40 mm, 2.92 mm, and SMA), and cable lengths (305 mm (12″), 610 mm (24″), 1000 mm (39.37″), along with custom lengths for application-specific adaptability.

Optional phase matching of cable pairs to 1, 2, or 5 picoseconds allows precise timing and optimal differential pair signaling signal integrity.

Featuring a 50Ω impedance rating, -90dB minimum shielding effectiveness, and a wide temperature range (-65°C to +125°C), these cables are ideal for lab test environments such as test and measurement and high-speed digital testing, ATE systems, and low-loss rugged environments such as aerospace, defence, and datacom.
