The Hypertac 'Rack & Panel' concept drastically simplifies system connectivity whilst saving space, maintenance time and total acquisition cost. Due to space constraints and system complexity, high power requirements cannot be solved by standard rack and panel connectors. Hypertac's rack and panel concept means that connectors can now be simultaneously integrated into the equipment's rear panel at the time of manufacture forming one common connection interface, instead of many individually mounted connectors.
Traditionally, a high number of individual connectors would be required to provide system connectivity in a confined space and often with little or no room to operate the coupling system by hand. The Hypertac approach greatly simplifies the assembly of connections in confined spaces, as is often the case in marine, fighting vehicles or satellite communications equipments.

In military applications where equipment needs to be replaced quickly for repair and maintenance, reduced installation time is essential to maintain operational readiness. Hypertac has addressed this need by creating numerous rack and panel solutions that are tailored to customers' specific requirements which could not otherwise be satisfied with standard mil-spec connectors.

Exhibiting versatility, the rack and panel solution can incorporate a variety of different types of connections, including high power (up to 1000A), signal, high speed, fluid and optical. Additionally, filtering, transient voltage protection and printed circuit boards can also be accommodated into the assembly.
