Bare contact offers size and cost savings over housed poke-in connectors, with the new connectors’ small footprints favoring compact PCB designs. Applications are primarily in LED lighting, building automation, telecommunications and security systems.
TE’s new poke-in connectors accept wire gauges 18-22AWG. The connectors are rated 10A for 18AWG wire and 6A for 20-22AWG. The slim male pin contact is designed for board-to-board connections with a 4A rating when used with the releasable slim contact. Maximum voltage rating is 300VAC. Operating temperature range is -40 to 105°C.
