M12 cable connectors now offered in stainless steel

Expanding its range of M12 cable connectors, PROVERTHA has announced the release of stainless steel (V4A) versions. The male and female versions are specifically designed for the requirements encountered in medical technology and the food industry, however can also be used in cleanroom environments in industrial and off-shore applications.

Stringent requirements are placed on components and materials with regard to their degree of protection, cleanliness, corrosion resistance and hygiene in devices, machines and systems used in the food industry and medical technology. When machines are cleaned, cleaning and disinfection solutions are often used that can cause corrosion. This also applies to off-shore environments with aggressive salt water. This is why stainless steel is primarily used as a material in the said applications. With their compact design, the new cable connectors afford protection in accordance with IP67 standards: they can be washed with standard detergents and are corrosion resistant.

PROVERTHA will present the M12 stainless steel cable connectors at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2015 in Hall 9, Booth 301.
