Compact power connectors are used for wiring single conductors in a crimp friction lock system. Both pin headers and female headers have a protection against accidental contact.
The compact crimp connectors find their application in power supplies of electronical devices for industrial electronics, consumer electronics and computer technology.
Beside the flexible connector design, the new series 584 and 585 provide more: The assignment of the housings with male and female contacts is freely selectable and can be used for additional coding. The power contacts are available in single and triple row, from 2 up to 15 contacts and in a pitch of 6,35mm. Polarised mouldings ensure faultless plugging. Positive lockings guarantee secure connections and prevent accidental disconnects.
Crimp contacts are designed for AWG 12 – 22. The contact material is made of copper alloy, the insulator consists of thermoplastic rated UL94 V-0 or UL94 V-2. The solderability is guaranteed according to IEC 60512-12A, the operating temperature ranges from –40 bis + 105°C.
