Hirose has expanded its push-on lock coaxial connector product offering for high-frequency, multi-board applications. The compact, PO(M2) Series supports RF performance up to 6GHz and is engineered to meet the demands of space-constrained, high-density RF systems and advanced electronic devices.

The PO(M2) Series incorporates a compact push-on lock mechanism for easy and secure mating, streamlining assembly while saving space on densely populated boards.

Ideal for designers seeking robust signal integrity across compact assemblies, the PO(M2) Series features a unique 3-piece parallel connection method that enables reliable board-to-board interconnection between two PCBs using two plug receptacles and an interposer. The connector also supports cable connections via a plug receptacle paired with a locking right-angle jack.

The 3-piece parallel connection method offers a wide positional displacement tolerance, supporting misalignment up to +/-0.4mm in the X and Y directions, and 1 mm in Z direction.

“With a push-on lock mechanism designed for ease of use and robust dependability, the PO(M2) Series enables engineers to achieve optimal signal integrity and flexibility even in challenging environments,” said Pete Lais, AVP of Product Management for Hirose Electric Americas. “The PO(M2) Series also supports a variety of connection types, including parallel board-to-board and cable, offering design flexibility for engineers.”
