Amphenol RF announces the expansion of its coaxial adapter portfolio with a new SMP straight plug to SMPM straight plug adapter offering high-frequency performance in a low-profile package.
This compact adapter is designed to ensure consistent reliability between SMP and SMPM interfaces. A push-on coupling mechanism guarantees frictionless mating and unmating in space-constrained applications such as test equipment, radar systems, high-speed computing, and communication network equipment.
Operating at frequencies of up to 40GHz, the 7.24mm length SMP to SMPM adapter features a gold-plated beryllium copper body and contact, and a natural PTFE insulator. The unique design of the adapter allows customers to switch between interfaces, offering engineers more versatility with their design choices. The adapter offers radial and axial float to accommodate for misalignment if used with SMP or SMPM board mount connectors.
