A low-voltage version of the PR100A two-channel (expandable to six channel) panel-mounting datalogger and recorder is now available from Celsum Technologies Ltd.
The microprocessor-based PR100A/D is housed in a smart 96mm x 96mm x 90mm deep package, may be powered from 12-36V DC or AC (50-60Hz), compared to the original PR100A/A, mains-powered version which will accept a supply of 90 - 240 VAC at 50-60Hz. With a maximum power consumption of only 12 Watts, the low voltage version permits usage in mobile applications such as on board vehicles and for field test equipment, including R & D applications.

The PR100A has contacts for a remote, voltage-free, start-stop control switch, may be programmed to acquire data at periods between 1 minute and 360 minutes, to stop either when the memory is full (one-shot), or to sequentially overwrite the previous data. The memory stores 5000 lines of data, giving, for example, a capacity of 52 days at 4 readings per hour.or printed on the integral dot-matrix printer, which has a print width of 48mm, and uses standard paper rolls up to a maximum of 58mm wide x 30mm diameter (2.28 wide x 1.18 diameter). Connections to the PR100A are via screw terminals, and the front panel is protected to IP30..

The PR100A may be expanded to up to six channels by adding the DR100A four-channel expansion module, which is DIN-Rail mounting. This connects to the PR100A via three wires, and is easy to program via the PR100A.

Celsum Technologies' MD, Mr Roy Carter, said, We are very pleased that the low-voltage version of the PR100A is now available, as the instrument can now be more easily used for monitoring, for example, temperatures in refrigerated vehicles, or in remote locations where no mains power is available or permitted.
