Schroff has today announced an enhancement of the Schroff RatiopacPRO case with the release of a new version with a dual function handle. Focusing on user-friendliness, the new carrying handle features a built-in 19" bracket. This allows cases containing electronics to be safely handled as well as being securely mounted in an electronics cabinet using the 19" bracket.

A cast element type of handle, its design is based on familiar handle types. The depth of the handle is such that this version can also be used in cabinets with a door. Load tests have verified the carrying capacity and robustness to roughly 1,000,000 cycles with a weight of 25 kg.

This handle version is available in the sizes 2U, 3U, 4U and 6U for RatiopacPRO and in sizes 3/4U and 6/7U for RatiopacPRO air. Existing RatiopacPRO cases with ordinary handles or 19" brackets can also be modified to the new combined handle version.

Designed for particularly demanding applications in the test and measurement, and instrumentation fields, the RatiopacPRO case allows sub-assemblies to be inserted from the front or from the rear without removing the cover plates. Desktop enclosures, 19" subrack enclosures and tower versions can be created from the same basic case. There are two available models: RatiopacPRO, a space-optimized version, and RatiopacPRO air, a version in which each size is 1U higher and features an internal ventilation concept.
