Measuring only 3U high and 215mm deep, this 19in. subrack system enables a high level of functionality to be provided from a relatively small space and fully complies with the requirements of the PICMG MicroTCA.0 R1.0 specification.
Up to four double and two single full-size AdvancedMC modules can be accommodated, together with two MicroTCA Carrier Hubs and two 12HP-wide power modules. If required, a splitting kit supplied with the system can be used to configure the main AMC card cage for eight single modules instead of four double modules.
Designed for fully redundant operation, the new system incorporates two front-loading plug-in fan units, each equipped with a MicroTCA enhanced module management controller (EMMC) as standard. Also included is a plug-in air filter, which can easily be exchanged from the front.
The system’s integrated MicroTCA backplane provides high-speed serial connections using dual-star topology for Gigabit Ethernet, as well as direct connections for the storage interface.
