ALPS Achieves Production of 100 Billion TACT Switch Units
ALPS ELECTRIC achieved a total production of 100 billion TACT switch units in mid-September 2009. If all 100 billion TACT switch units were arranged side by side, they would cover a distance roughly equal to circling the Earth 15 times. ALPS ELECTRIC’s TACT switch claims the world’s top production volume with an approximate 40% share of the global market.
TDK-Lambda - 1kW single-output power supplies in 1U format
TDK-Lambda has introduced the RFE1000 series; a new 1kW embedded 1U high single output AC-DC power supply for stand alone and distributed power architecture (DPA) applications requiring reliable 24V, 32V and 48V bulk power. Up to 20% output voltage adjustment is possible enabling the RFE1000 to be used in a variety of customer specific applications including battery charging. Operating from a universal input of 85 to 265VAC, typical applications ...
Crystek's PLL/Synthesizer operates at 3475 MHz
Crystek's CPLL66-3475-3475 PLL/Synthesizer operates at 3475 MHz with a typical Step Size of 2500 KHz. Engineered and manufactured in the USA, the model CPLL66-3475-3475 is housed in a compact 0.6-in. x 0.6-in. x 0.15-in. SMD package, which saves board space.
IP68 Bluetooth Buccaneer connector eliminates serial cables
Bulgin’s new self-pairing Bluetooth cable replacement products eliminate data cables and allow equipment with RS485 or RS232 data ports to communicate using wireless Bluetooth technology. The IP68 rated environmentally sealed enclosure protects against dust and moisture, so the units can be used in numerous harsh or hostile applications. The PX0885 can be mounted internally or externally for maximum flexibility, convenience and also for optimu...
Texas Instruments - 200-mA linear regulators with auto low-power mode
Texas Instruments has introduced a family of 200-mA, low dropout regulators (LDOs), which offer an auto low-power mode that combines ultra-low quiescent current of less than 8 uA with fast transient response while maintaining low noise and a high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR). With 70 percent lower quiescent current than existing solutions, the new LDOs help increase battery runtime without sacrificing performance in noise-sensitive applica...
PVS-Studio 3.30 for recourse-intensive applications developers
PVS-Studio is a static code analysis tool for C/C++. It is targeted at verification of resource-intensive applications which use the possibilities of modern microprocessors, such as 64-bit mode and multi-core features. The analyzer allows to detect hidden errors during development of 64-bit and parallel OpenMP applications.
DIN 41612 connectors offer higher contact density
HARTING has expanded its range of DIN 41612 connectors with the addition of two versions which offer increased contact density for use with small printed circuit boards. The new types 3B and 3C offer 20 or 30 contacts in a compact 2.54 mm grid. Each contact can be loaded with currents of up to 2 A, and the connectors are tested to the IEC 60 603-2 standard.
USB power meters extend to 26.5 GHz
TTi has extended its range of USB RF and microwave power meters with the release of the TTi-Satori ST265. The new instrument pushes the frequency limit for high dynamic range USB power meters up to 26.5 GHz. The ST265 now covers a frequency range of 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz.
Power Semiconductor Assemblies offer range of electronic options
Featuring voltages from 100-20,000 V and currents ranging from 30-3,000 A, Power Semiconductor Assemblies come in single, double, or 3-phase circuit configurations. Units are also available as full bridge or as series stacks and AC or static switches. Bus bars, gate firing circuits, fuses, snubbers, blowers, and fans are optional. Typical applications include power supplies, AC/DC and static converters, AC phase controllers, UPS, and motor star...
Rittal fan and filter units dissipate heat cost effectively
Fan and filter units from Rittal, with airflows from 20m³/h to 700m³/h and IP ratings up to IP56, are ideal for dissipating heat loads cost effectively for many applications in all industries. The prerequisite is that the ambient air must be relatively clean with a temperature below the desired enclosure internal temperature.
