Keysight drives forward 5G acceptance pplans
Early engagements by Keysight Technologies with all four U.S. mobile operators has resulted in more than 600 validated test cases, which are critical to the operators' respective 5G device acceptance plans. Keysight's 5G network emulation solution suite has also also delivered the leading number of 5G NR test cases validated by major operators in other countries, including China, Korea and Japan.
Scalable devices on Si targeting beyond 5G RF front-end modules
Imec has presented a functional GaAs-based heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) devices on 300mm Si, and CMOS-compatible GaN-based devices on 200mm Si for mm-wave applications. The results demonstrate the potential of both III-V-on-Si and GaN-on-Si as CMOS-compatible technologies for enabling RF front-end modules for beyond 5G applications. They were presented at last year’s IEDM conference.
Secutech returns with new 5G applications pavilion
IoT, artificial intelligence, edge computing and 5G technology will be on display Secutech, which returns to the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre from 22nd to 24th April 2020. Commercial security and fire safety solutions will take centre stage at the fair, and in order to reflect the cross-sector influence of AI and the IoT, Secutech 2020 will also feature dedicated zones for the smart building and mobility sectors.
