The SMD power inductor range at Dengrove Electronic Components has been strengthened by the addition of Taiyo Yuden’s MDWK4040. Part of the company’s MCOIL MD series, this new size inductor measures 4.0 x 4.0 x 2.0mm (maximum height) and can be used as choke coils for power supply circuits in increasingly sophisticated information technology equipment, for example.

With the optimised shape of its metal core, the MDWK4040 utilises Taiyo Yuden’s proprietary magnetic metal material and achieves one of the best direct-current superposition characteristics in the industry.

These new size SMD power inductors feature 11 different items with DC superposition current from of 17.0 to 2.2A (max), nominal inductance from 0.2 to 1 µ and temperature rise current 9.2 to 1.6A(max).
