DigiKey at embedded world 2024 with BeagleBoard’s BeagleY-AI

At embedded world 2024, on the DigiKey booth, Paige West speaks with Jason Kridner, Co-Founder & President of the Board at BeagleBoard.org Foundation, and Rob Nelson, Application Engineer at DigiKey, about open-source benefits and the launch of the BeagleY-AI.

BeagleY-AI is an open-source single board computer engineered to streamline the development of smart human-machine interfaces (HMI), enabling the integration of cameras and high-speed connectivity into a robust embedded system. It boasts a 64-bit, quad-core A53 processor and features multiple advanced AI accelerators alongside C7x DSPs. The integrated 50 GFLOP GPU supports up to three simultaneous display outputs, and it offers modern connectivity options including USB3.1, PCIe Gen 3, WiFi6, and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4.

This board is also compatible with a broad array of existing accessories that enhance system functionality, such as power over Ethernet (PoE), NVMe storage, and 5G connectivity.
