Electronic Specifier is pleased to announce the winners of its celebrated Electronics Excellence Awards at embedded world 2026.
The ceremony took place at the Hall 5 Forum at 3.30pm (4.30pm CET) on 11th March 2026 at embedded world.
Each year, the Electronics Excellence Awards are recognised for their rigorous and transparent judging process by a panel of individually curated thought leaders and electronics specialists.
This year saw a new category unveiled: the semiconductor.
The seven-member judging panel reviewed high-calibre submissions, and we are now happy to announce that the product category winners for 2026 are:
Power

The Vicor BCM6135 is an 800V – 48V DC/DC converter that provides up to 2.5kW of power from a module, weighing 58g in a package of 0.016L. It has a switching frequency of 1.4MHz, which supports a transient response rate of 8M A/s and a bi-directional power capability that achieves the same power level for buck or boost demands. No other DC/DC converter can match the combined performance. The transient response rate enables the most efficient regenerative power for braking and active suspension.
Test & Measurement
Rohde & Schwarz’s MXO 3 oscilloscope

Powered by next-generation MXO technology, this oscilloscope empowers engineers to swiftly and accurately analyse complex devices. Boasting the industry’s highest acquisition rate – up to 4.5 million waveforms per second with up to 99% real-time capture – the MXO 3 series unveils signal detail previously unseen.
Electromechanical

RapidCool is an advanced semiconductor packaging technology that uses direct-to-chip liquid cooling to efficiently remove heat from high-power integrated circuits during operation. By eliminating traditional thermal interface materials (TIMs), RapidCool reduces thermal resistance and improves heat transfer efficiency.
Software

Instead of relying on manual, time-consuming reviews by senior engineers, DRCY runs AI-powered automated checks every time a design is updated in version control. It catches potential issues early, before they become expensive manufacturing errors, and delivers precise, actionable feedback that engineers can act on immediately.
Passive
KYOCERA AVX’s 9002418L0-L16S S-band antenna

KYOCERA AVX’s 9002418L0-L16S is an innovative S-band antenna designed for Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) satellite connectivity. It delivers reliable high gain and wide bandwidth performance while uniquely offering selectable circular polarisation (LHCP or RHCP) within a single design – enabling compatibility with multiple satellite constellations without redesign.
Semiconductor
NXP’s S32N7 Super-Integration Processor Series

S32N7 enables vehicles to become intelligent and evolve through AI and frequent OTA updates. It consolidates up to eight domains within safe hardware partitions, delivering ASIL D real-time performance and robust cybersecurity.
