Keysight posts sales and orders increase in Q1

Keysight Technologies has reported Q1 sales of $1.3 billion a year on year increase of 3 per cent.

Orders grew for the second consecutive quarter, up 4% y/y to $1.3B.

The demand environment remains consistent with our view of a gradual recovery in 2025,” said Satish Dhanasekaran, Keysight’s President and CEO (pictured). “The world’s most technologically advanced companies trust Keysight to deliver critical enabling technologies across a broad spectrum of next generation use cases and we are well-positioned to create long-term value for our stakeholders.”

Keysight’s Communications Solutions Group (CSG) was boosted by ongoing strength in AI, and posted revenues of $883 million, up 5 per cent from the previous year, reflecting a 5 percent growth in commercial communications and 5 percent growth in aerospace, defence, and government.

The Electronic Industrial Solutions Group (EISG) reported revenue of $415 million in the first quarter, down 1 percent from the prior year, reflecting mixed demand across end markets. General electronics orders grew for a second consecutive quarter while automotive remained challenging.

Software and services accounted for 40 per cent of total revenues, endorsing Keysight’s strategy of moving to a software-centric model.

The company increased R&D investment to $230M, representing 18% of revenue.
