PCIM Asia Shanghai will be held from 24 – 26 September in halls N4 and N5 of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

For its 2025 edition, the event will turn its focus to e-mobility, alongside other key power electronics applications including solar and wind power, energy storage, hydrogen technology, AI and data centres. Designed to support technical knowledge exchange and business collaboration, event highlights include the acclaimed PCIM Asia Shanghai Conference, a variety of themed forums and the newly introduced Industrial Chain Display Zone – Power Electronics for E-mobility.

The programme will also feature the first-ever PCIM Asia Shanghai Tour – E-mobility, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at the latest developments in electrified transportation, with visits to Tongji University’s National Maglev Transportation Engineering R&D Center and Volkswagen’s NEV production line.

Since its debut in China in 2002, PCIM Asia Shanghai has played a key role as one of Asia’s few professional trade platforms dedicated exclusively to the power electronics sector. By combining an exhibition and a conference, it has connected industry and academia for over twenty years, bringing together experts to share research and industry perspectives. Through comprehensive displays covering semiconductor power devices, power ICs, passive components, packaging and testing solutions and more, the event presents products and technologies across the complete industrial value chain.

Among the highlights at the event are keynote speeches from influential voices representing Inovance Automotive, the University of Cambridge and Huawei, who will present their state-of-the-art findings in power converters for new energy vehicles, AI and data centre power supply.

Complementing the main exhibition and conference, PCIM Asia Shanghai 2025 will organise a range of fringe events focused on the theme of e-mobility, providing further opportunities for technical exchange and business collaboration. Key highlights include:

  • Industrial Chain Display Zone – Power Electronics for E-mobility: this zone will bring together leading domestic and international companies from the NEV supply chain to showcase the applications of power electronics in new energy vehicles. Through a combination of interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and equipment displays, visitors can explore various approaches to electrification and gain a clearer understanding of these technologies
  • PCIM Asia Shanghai Tour – E-mobility: on the third day of the exhibition, PCIM Asia Shanghai 2025 will organise a half-day tour for R&D leaders and academic experts focused on electrified transportation. Led by Professor Kang Jinsong from Tongji University, participants will visit the Tongji University National Maglev Transportation Engineering R&D Center and Volkswagen’s NEV production line, concluding with a closed-door roundtable discussion on current developments in the field.

Backed by the renewed support of key sponsors Mitsubishi Electric, Semikron Danfoss, Fuji Electric, Infineon and ROHM, the 2025 event will feature an estimated 260 exhibitors from China and abroad across 25,000 square metres of exhibition space. Among these, renowned domestic and international industry leaders such as Alkaidsemi, BASiC Semiconductor, Bosch, China Resources Microelectronics, and more, will present their latest solutions in fields such as power semiconductors, integrated circuits, sensors and intelligent motion, addressing important segments of the power electronics industry.
