The new PCAN-RS-232 FD is designed for the flexible connection of devices with an RS-232 port as a control and diagnostic interface to CAN 2.0 and CAN FD buses. It is freely programmable for own specific application, with various code examples already available as starting points.
The PCAN-GPS Pro FD has been added to the corresponding device series from PEAK-System for the precise and high-frequency acquisition of position, acceleration, and orientation data in harsh environments. With its sealed aluminium profile housing, the device meets protection class IP50 or IP54, depending on the Lemo plugs used. Using two Lemo sockets connected in parallel, it can be easily integrated into measurement chains. Data acquisition from navigation satellites works with an update rate of up to 25 Hz. The sensor data is combined and transmitted via a classic CAN connection or via CAN FD. Configuration is carried out via the USB interface using the supplied Windows program. The module then runs as an independent CAN node.
With a CAN XL starter package, PEAK-System makes it possible to get started with the new CAN XL standard which offers bit rates of up to 20 Mbit/s and data lengths of up to 2048 bytes per CAN message. The package includes a USB interface, a comprehensive monitoring program with CAN XL support and an API for integrating a CAN XL connection into self-created software.
As part of HMS Networks, PEAK-System will also be presenting the Ixxat automotive gateway solutions at its booth this year. The easily configurable gateways enable access to a wide variety of bus systems in vehicles, for example for sophisticated gateway, diagnostic, logging, and visualisation applications, and thus are an ideal addition to the PEAK portfolio.
