For customers with a need for very small systems, Fujitsu introduces two industrial boards of the Skylake family at the Embedded World from February 23rd to 25th 2016. In Hall 2 at booth 110, the company presents the D3433-S and the D3434-S. Both models support the 6th generation of Intel Core processors and feature powerful DDR4 memory, which can be upgraded up to 32 GB.

The boards were developed for industrial use and are suitable for continuous operation 24/7 in an extended temperature range from 0° to 60°C. Just like the larger models of the industrial boards the D3433-S and the D3434-S have a M.2 port. Similar to the mSATA technology, but with a smaller form factor, new SSDs can thus be directly placed on the motherboard.

The D3433-S with the Intel Q170 chipset supports up to three independent displays. It offers Intel vPro 2015 and Intel AMT 11.0 for out-of-band management. Both boards provide in addition to a PCI Express x16 Gen3 and a mini-PCIe slot also extensive external and internal USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports. Reduced requirements are met by the D3434-S with the Intel H110 Mini-ITX chipset. This model supports two independent displays and one USB3.0 port but doesn’t offer enhanced management capabilities. Both the D3433-S as well as the D3434-S offer a multi-level watchdog function. Another special feature is the dual power supply function. The board can thus be operated either via standard ATX power supply or internal 12V DCIN. Two Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports and a TPM V2.0 module of Infineon complete the functionality.

At the Embedded World Fujitsu introduces a mini-ITX case suitable for both new mini-ITX mainboards which will be available in May 2016. In addition to the small dimensions, it also provides a slot for a low profile PCIe expansion card and slots for up to two hard drives. The complete solution (motherboard incl. housing) is a cost-effective system solution immediately salable thanks to CE certification and extensive air tests. Time-consuming and costly certifications can be omitted.
