Apacer is set to unveil its latest industrial storage innovations, emphasising embedded security, sustainability, and high storage capacities, at embedded world 2024, located in Hall 1, Booth 310.

A highlight in the realm of embedded security is Apacer’s introduction of industrial WORM (Write Once, Read Many) drives and memory cards. These devices ensure data is permanently stored upon the first write, safeguarding it against erasure, alteration, or overwriting. Apacer's WORM products are notable for their compatibility with numerous hosts without hardware limitations. These drives have been successfully implemented in voting machines and are also suited for secure data storage needs in finance, taxation, legal, medical, and cash register systems. Starting from March 2024, these WORM series products will be available in capacities ranging from 8GB to 128GB, featuring SD 6.1 interfaces.

In the sphere of sustainability, Apacer introduces the first globally available completely lead-free memory module. This innovation allows for the use of DDR5 modules without necessitating re-validation, ahead of the expiring EU RoHS Directive exemptions for lead in July 2024 (RoHS 7(c)-I) and July 2026 (RoHS 7(c)-V). The DDR5 4800 and 5600 series from Apacer incorporate entirely lead-free resistor components.

For high-demand applications, Apacer’s ST180-25 high-capacity SSD series, with storage options up to 16TB, will be showcased. These SSDs, certified by FIPS 140-2, are perfectly suited for entities engaging with US federal agencies or those in sectors requiring enhanced security measures, including healthcare, financial services, 5G infrastructure, and defence.

Aiming to cater to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, Apacer’s enterprise SSD series presents solutions that combine high capacity, superior performance, and unmatched reliability, alongside low latency. These SSDs are enhanced with value-added technologies like DWPD>1, data encryption, and power loss protection, aiding in the optimisation of data centre and edge server operations. The series is on track to receive ‘Windows Hardware Quality Lab’ and ‘VMware Ready’ certifications shortly.

Many other products and technologies will be on display, such as:

Apacer's compact eMMCs for embedded systems

  • Offer great design flexibility for applications ranging from consumer electronics to industrial devices
  • Available in capacities from 8 to 128GB
  • Wide-temp operation is optional

CoreSnapshot 2 backup and recovery technology

  • Live demo with Allxon will showcase a complete backup and recovery cycle in seconds
  • New Auto Self Recovery initiates process automatically

CorePower (aka Power Loss Protection)

  • Now available not only for SATA interfaces but also for PCIe

Apacer's ongoing commitment to ESG has led it to develop these technologies and products. The company has achieved silver status without any priority findings in the RBA Validated Audit Process (VAP), one of the leading standards for onsite compliance verification, with 163.1 points. Apacer has developed some of the products presented at embedded world according to ESG criteria. The completely lead-free DDR5 modules contribute to better environmental protection and social justice. And the WORM and FIPS products as well as the CorePower technology help customers to comply with their corporate governance policies.
