NXP hosts EcoCAR 3 Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition workshop
NXP Semiconductors this week hosts the Winter Workshop for the EcoCAR 3 Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) at NXP’s campus in Austin. EcoCAR 3 is a four-year collegiate engineering programme sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and General Motors (GM) that gives students the chance to redesign, build and demonstrate cutting-edge, eco-friendly automotive technologies in the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.

Test automation software to demo at Embedded World

Oscilloscopes to the fore at Embedded World
The Embedded World exhibition in Nuremberg (Feb 23-25) will supply the platform for Rigol Technologies to present its complete product portfolio. Besides the Oscilloscope series MSO/DS2000A and MSO/DS4000 offering 50MHz up to 1GHz bandwidth, Rigol will show the new MSO-Ready Mixed Signal Oscilloscope series DS1000Z Plus with 70MHz and 100MHz bandwidth.
University wins inaugural race in Formula 1 aerodynamics competition
A team from the University of Leicester has taken pride of place in an international Formula 1 aerodynamics competition. Team Mansell, supervised by Dr. Aldo Rona, senior lecturer in the Department of Engineering, and Professor Ivor Annetts, Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in Motorsport Aerodynamics, won the inaugural race of the UniFi Motorsport 2015/16 season.
