TT Electronics’s CEO Richard Tyson and CFO Mark Hoad successfully completed a company charity cycle ride that has raised over £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The epic ride took place over the weekend of 11 June and the route joined up four TT UK sites, from Northumberland to Wales.

TT Electronics is matching the donations raised by one and a half times – that’s over £25,000 raised for charity on the total ride! Half of the amount raised will go to Macmillan and the other half will go to local community projects supported by the four TT sites that the ride linked up.

Richard and Mark joined the final leg of the company’s charity bike ride, from its Bedlington site in Northumberland to its facility in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Then together with nine other team members, they carried on cycling for two more days visiting two further TT Electronics UK sites, Fairford in the Cotswolds and Rogerstone in South Wales – for a total of 250 leg‑breaking miles!

Richard Tyson, CEO, commented: “Mark and I were delighted to join our team for the ride. We had a few challenges along the way but the incredible support, fantastic team spirit and some wonderful routes through amazing countryside kept Mark and I pedalling to the end!

Thank you to everyone for the generous donations - raising more than £25k for some fantastic causes pulled us all through and made the pain worthwhile.”
