“With the latest commissioning of an R&S BTC RF test automation system in BBPPT test labs, we have successfully deployed R&S BTC systems at three key official test labs in the ASEAN within a short span of 12 months. To further enhance the test system, we have released the camera-based solution, which enables fully automatic tests on both STB and iDTV,” said Eric Li, Regional Manager for Rohde & Schwarz Broadcasting Solutions. “Our ultimate goal is to empower test labs and manufacturers to conduct digital TV RF testing in the most reliable and efficient way, across different standards.”
With the adoption of the DVB-T2 standard, the Indonesian MCIT plans to incorporate EWS as part of the DVB-T2 rollout.
The Indonesian early warning system is designed to support up to 15 different types of disasters, three levels of warning and postcode based regional EWS.
EWS is the unique mandate from the Indonesian government, thus all STB and iDTV must be compliant with the EWS standard.
“By leveraging our test experience in Europe, Africa, Middle East and the ASEAN, we helped BBPPT develop their PSI/SI test suite and EWS test suite” said Brad Wu, Sales Director for StreamSpark. “Both the R&S BTC RF test automation system and the StreamSpark test suite are well accepted by government official test labs and industry players such as TV/STB manufacturers and chipset designers. We are committed to deliver state-of-art products and ensure a successful digital TV rollout in the ASEAN.”
