Swissbit AG has today announced that it will be presenting its industrial DRAM and flash storage solutions in all common technologies and formats at the electronica fair (hall A6, stand 121). One of the highlights will be its brand new X-500 Series Industrial SATA II SSD with up to 512 GB.
The 2.5”-storage solution combines a data rate of up to 260MB/sec on SATA II and an impressive 15.000 IOPS with 4k random accesses and special features such as TRIM, the ATA security protocol, a temperature sensor and the in-field update. Additionally, the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology protocol with lifetime monitoring and a BCH-error-correction-code ensures absolute reliability with the power fail protected X-500 series.

The Swissbit portfolio includes DRAM modules manufactured using the Chip-On-Board and SMT methods supporting DRAM, SDRAM, DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 technologies. Its industrial flash product line includes SSDs with SATA and PATA interfaces, mSATA, SLIM SATA, CFast, CompactFlash, SD & MICRO SD memory cards, MMC and USB flash products. All Swissbit storage solutions fulfill the requirements of industrial and embedded applications in harsh environments: the highest level of reliability and robustness, long service life, extended temperature range, all common industrial interfaces and long-term availability including a fixed bill of materials. The selection of materials and the module architecture are designed in line with the high demands, and firmware mechanisms, and algorithms such as intelligent wear leveling, bad block management, power fail protection & recovery, ECC, and a clever read disturb management features are also available. Thanks to design-in support and many status monitoring applications, Swissbit supports test engineers during the qualification and approval of new components.
