RIBER is announcing the sale of a Compact21 research system to the Russian Academy of Sciences, Saint Petersburg.
This machine will be set up in the R&E Center of the Submicron Heterostructures for Microelectronics headed by Professor M.Mizerov. It will enable the laboratory to modernize its fleet of RIBER MBE machines, while further strengthening its development capacities for designing III-V component-based semiconductor systems. The Russian Academy of Sciences is the umbrella organization for Scientific Institutes from throughout the Russian Federation.

More specifically, it is very active in the semiconductor physics field, especially in Saint Petersburg, which has a longstanding tradition of compound semiconductor research, as shown by its many pioneering developments and prestigious scientific awards. The Compact21 MBE system is the world's top-selling research system. It offers unrivalled flexibility for use enabling it to meet the most demanding expectations for applied research on compound semiconductor materials. This new order has further strengthened RIBER's position in Russia, where the semiconductor industry is booming.
