Digital Signage Specialist, ONELAN, has announced that it will be outfitting the prestigious Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Annual Conference (HMC) - to be held at the Royal Bath Hotel, Bournemouth, 1st - 4th October - with Digital Signage. ONELAN has identified the education sector as one which could benefit immensely from the installation of Digital Signage, as a means of keeping all pupils – and staff – up to date with important class and safety information, as well as notification of upcoming social and sporting events.
HMC represents the heads of some 250 leading independent schools in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. It also has a further 60 or so international members, up to 30 additional members (Heads of maintained schools in the UK), and 34 Honorary Associate Members (retired members). HMC exists to serve and support its members, to represent their views and to exemplify excellence in education. This year, speakers at the conference will include Brigadier Ed Butler and former BBC chief Greg Dyke discussing leadership and vision. Professor Clive Upton (University of Leeds) will comment on the language we use. Steve Munby, Director of the National College for School Leadership, will address the development of present and future school leaders, and Professor Dylan William (London University Institute of Education) will give the why, what and how of Assessment for Learning (AfL).

Visitors to the conference will be able to see the benefits of ONELAN’s Digital Signage Net Top Box (NTB) products first hand, as they will be used to announce conference sessions, provide directions and highlight important events.

Comments David Dalzell, ONELAN’s MD: “We are honoured to be part of this event, which draws together many of the key professionals in education. We believe that Digital Signage has an important role to play in schools and colleges, and is a powerful tool for making sure that all pupils, students, teachers and other staff are as fully informed and involved in academic life as possible.”
