Nine years after founding and then successfully leading Semrock Inc. through tremendous growth and its sale to IDEX Corporation in October 2008, Dr. Victor Mizrahi announced he is stepping down as the company's President this fall. IDEX and Dr. Mizrahi are very pleased to welcome Dr. Michael J. Cumbo as Semrock's new General Manager, effective September 14, 2009. Dr. Cumbo brings nearly 30 years of experience in lasers and electro-optics at publicly traded photonics companies such as OCLI, JDS Uniphase, and Coherent, and venture capital funded startups BinOptics, Raydiance and NanoGram Solar.

Andy Silvernail, Corporate Vice President and Group Executive for IDEX Health & Science Technologies segment, stated: We are very pleased to announce Michael's appointment as leader of the Semrock unit of IDEX. Michael's history of technical and business leadership in the LEO industry will be very valuable as we look forward to the continued development of our strategic growth initiatives from both an organic and acquisitive perspective.
