Before the M8190A came into the market, end users had to sacrifice bandwidth for higher resolution or vice versa, said Fernando Nara, Frost & Sullivan research associate. Agilent’s M8190A arbitrary waveform generator is the first of its kind to introduce wide bandwidth and high resolution simultaneously.
Frost & Sullivan believes that Agilent’s M8190A will hold a dominant position over its main competitors for the next two years before a similar product is introduced into the market, said Mariano Kimbara, Frost & Sullivan research analyst.
