Intersil appoints Masato Nozaki as vice president of Japan Sales

Intersil, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analogue semiconductors, has appointed Masato Nozaki in the position of vice president of Sales, Japan, located at Intersil’s sales office in Yokohama, Japan.

Mr. Nozaki will take full responsibility as the leader of the Intersil Japan team. He will work closely with Intersil’s key regional customers and internal business units to set a strategic direction. He will also drive tactical execution and expand the company’s capabilities and brand recognition in Japan.
“Nozaki-San’s end market experience spans a broad array of end applications such as advanced TVs and displays, notebook PCs as well as many others in the industrial, automotive and communications sectors, “ said Peter Oaklander, Intersil’s senior vice president of Worldwide Sales. “I am very excited about the growth potential for Intersil’s business in Japan as Nozaki-San brings with him a wealth of sales and technical experience.”

Mr. Nozaki joins Intersil from Maxim Japan, where he was the director of Field Applications and Market Communications. In this role, he was responsible for all field technical support and product promotions in Japan and for business development and project management of locally defined new products. In addition, while at Maxim, he was responsible for overseeing local language technical support and technical marketing activities. Prior to Maxim, Mr. Nozaki worked for ST Microelectronics, where he held senior marketing and engineering positions with numerous product lines. He has also held technical positions at Thomson Consumer Electronics and the Hitachi Group.
Mr. Nozaki holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Mie University in Japan.
