Interactive television: Portal operator NetRange MMH signs comprehensive cooperation agreement with Vestel Group

One million devices are already expected to arrive on the European market in the next twelve months Vestel Group, one of the largest largest TV manufacturers in Europe, is to only use portal solutions from the German supplier NetRange MMH for configuring Internet-compatible televisions. The agreement between Europe’s market leading OEM, Vestel, and the portal operator from Hamburg, NetRange MMH, was announced in May of this year at the ANGA Cable Show in Cologne.
NetRange MMH is Europe’s largest independent white label manufacturer of full-service portal solutions. It develops, operates and markets web-based interactive user interfaces for high resolution TV screens and, as such, it is one of the world’s leading technology providers for connected TV.
Vestel Group equips renowned brand manufacturers in the field of consumer electronics all over the world –. over one million connected LCD TVs are expected to be exported into European markets in the first year with the main focus being on the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany. The quantity will increase in the coming years

U.S. market researchers forecast dynamic growth in the area of internet compatible TV: in 2014, it is expected that Internet-compatible televisions will command a global market share of 43%, which corresponds to 122 million televisions.
