HCD, the UK contract electronics manufacturer and PCB design house has announced Peter Fuller as its Business Development Manager. Fuller, a veteran of 25 years in the UK PCB and CEM markets is tasked with helping to continue HCD’s sales efforts, which have seen the company grow despite the current recession.
Comments Fuller: “Businesses that need PCBs often also require assembled boards, and I will be carrying on the good work that Gene and his team have been doing. The medical and aerospace sectors are strong right now, and a good fit for our capabilities because they demand close tolerance, high spec work. For example, we can produce boards to IPC 610A – Class 3.”

He adds: “Although HCD continues to invest in new technology and we now have two surface mount lines, we also retain our through-hole production capability, so we can be very flexible, both in technology and turn-around time. And our production staff is also highly skilled, having been recruited from major manufacturers in the aerospace and other similarly demanding sectors.”

He concludes: “Although we have built a reputation for specialising in prototype and short-run production orders, we are now also well-positioned to handle medium volume orders.” Recently the company has added cable assembly and box build capabilities to its core PCBA business.
