Nexcom has launched three fan-less tablet computers. The MTC 2100, MTC 2100-MD and MRC 2100 are based on Intel’s smallest and lowest power processor (at the time of press) the Atom ™, which was specifically created for use within Mobile Internet Devices. All three platforms have a long battery life that can provide uninterrupted usage for up to 8 Hrs.
In addition, for true data security in any work environment all platforms incorporate TPM encryption and fingerprint security features. Other important features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a digital camera, and a sunlight readable touch screen come as standard on all three models.

All three products boast have been specifically designed with vertical markets in mind; the MTC 2100 will find applications within logistics and inventory management. Users can more efficiently track consignments/inventory with the MTC 2100’s built-in laser barcode reader and then transmit information via the platforms build-in GPS module.

The MTC 2100-MD has been manufactured for health care usage in the hospitals and medical canters. It is equipped with on-board Radio frequency identification (RFID) reader that facilitates improved patient monitoring and medicine tracking.

MRC 2100 has been especially ruggedized for use in tough outdoor environments. With special rubber pads installed, it can withstand a vertical drop of up to 4 feet (120 cm) high and is suited for mounting onto vehicles such as forklift trucks.
