The fanless computer specialist Logic Supply has announced an online contest looking for the World's Dirtiest PC. The competition, which launched today on the company's website, invites participants to submit pictures of their dusty, grimy or debris-laden computer for a chance to win Logic Supply's new fanless CL100 Mini PC.

"We hear horror stories every day about computers clogged with dust and debris, overheating and failing," said Logic Supply VP of Marketing Andrew Swayze. "We want to highlight the benefits of fanless computing and let people know that there's a better way."

To enter the World's Dirtiest PC Contest, participants need to snap a photo of the inside of their dusty computer and upload it to Logic Supply's #GoFanless Gallery. The photo must include the hashtag #GoFanless for verification and all photos will be reviewed before being posted to the gallery. Participants are encouraged to describe the computer's use, age and location in the image description.

Each week Logic Supply will select one image and the submitter will receive a prize package including a wireless mouse, travel coffee mug and stickers. Throughout the contest, visitors to the #GoFanless Gallery can vote on their favourite dusty PC photo. At the conclusion of the contest the user who uploaded the photo with the most overall votes will receive Logic Supply's new CL100 Fanless Mini PC.image 2

Submissions are now open and participants can upload their photos on the company’s website. Full contest rules and submission guidelines are available online. Weekly winners will be announced every Wednesday beginning 6th July, and participants are encouraged to subscribe to Logic Supply's I/O Hub blog and follow @LogicSupply on Twitter for updates. Winners will also be notified via email. The grand prize winner of the CL100 will be announced 10th August.

The winner of the World's Dirtiest PC contest will receive a CL100 with 16GB of RAM, a 256GB solid state hard drive and Windows 10 Home.

The CL100 utilises Logic Supply's unique Hardshell™ Fanless Technology, which combines proprietary solid state cooling, ingress protection and ruggedisation to create reliable computer hardware that can stand up to the most challenging manufacturing, data acquisition and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) environments.

"The CL100 is the product of years spent working with engineers and systems administrators around the world who are looking for a more reliable, easier to install and simpler to maintain computer," says Logic Supply Mechanical Engineer Hans Brakeley. "Fanless systems are quickly becoming the go-to solution for nearly every type of computing. The CL100 combines a variety of I/O and impressive processing performance with a small form factor that can go wherever it's needed. We wanted to create a computer that could truly live up to the idea of 'Anything, Anywhere', and we think the CL100 fits that bill."
