Fairchild Semiconductor brings designers of cell phones, PDAs and MP3 players a USB accessory switch – the smallest that integrates all of the key multi-media functionality into a low profile UMLP package (1.8mm x 2.6mm x 0.55mm).
The FSA800 offers built-in charger detection, 28V of overvoltage tolerance, built-in termination resistors, and negative swing capability. The integration of this rich functionality in a compact package simplifies and reduces external components in portable designs.

The FSA800 is part of a comprehensive portfolio of Fairchild’s USB solutions. These switches are ideal for USB port isolation, connector sharing and signal multiplexing. They are often used to share or route USB ports and to isolate Flash memory / uDisk removable devices. The switches are designed to be compliant with USB2.0 Full Speed (FS) and Hi-Speed (HS) with bandwidths in excess of 720MHz.
