The latest addition to BVM's wide range of SBC for embedded applications is the LS-571, a high performance module offering integral dual graphics capability and dual Gigabit Ethernet. This and the extensive I/O options and high quality audio are ideal for use in interactive clients, gaming, medical, POS, Digital Signage, surveillance and industrial automation equipment.
The 5.25 form factor board has the Intel Socket P compatible with Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Merom processors, 800 MHz FSB, up to 2 GB of 533/677MHz DRAM with an optional further onboard 1GB of SDRAM. The onboard Intel GME965, addressing up to 384 MB of video RAM, supports 2 x CRT, LVDS or DVI displays without the need for any further graphics hardware, reducing system complexity, power and space requirements.

The onboard I/O capability of the unit is impressive, enabling direct interface with all peripherals without the need for additional hardware. The Ultra ATA/33 IDE channel supports up to two ATAPI devices including CompactFlash type-II solid state disc; 3 x Serial ATA II interfaces; 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports; 1 PCI slot and 2 Mini-PCI sockets; 1 RS232/422/485 serial ports, 5 COM ports, 8 USB 2.0 ports and onboard interfaces for the various supported display formats. The watchdog timer is configurable up to 255 minutes to reset the system in the event of a software crash and the unit can be powered from a standard ATX PSU or a 12 VDC input.
