OMC’s Commercial Director, William Heath, explained: “We have occupied several facilities during our 30+ year history, and are delighted to have now constructed a factory designed specifically for our complex needs. We have dedicated development and assembly departments, as well as specialist test areas and a new machine shop capable of both prototyping and mass component production.”
He continued: “Our fibre optic division – in which we employ our proprietary ACA (Active Component Alignment) technology to ensure that our fibre-optic data links perform consistently and reliably from link to link – needs to be flexible to allow for increases in demand that occur regularly due to the contract-based nature of many industrial projects. Our backlighting division, which is able to deliver custom-sized illuminated components for displays even for low to medium volume requirements, has also been further streamlined. Our new manufacturing facility will allow us to develop both of these activities and provide new solutions for designers looking to solve tricky fibre-optic or backlighting challenges.”
