CIL to produce the TVIUM TR-100 for Breeze Technologies

Custom Interconnect (CIL), the Andover electronics design and manufacturing specialist, has won a contract from Breeze Technologies, the Salisbury-based digital video encoding and distribution company, to manufacture the TVIUM TR-100, a new compact, set-top box that captures digital terrestrial feed for distribution over networks.

CIL is providing Breeze Technologies with a fully tested and packaged product ready for shipping to distribution channels. CIL sales director, Chris Heal, said: “The TVIUM TR-100 project was complex with materials sourced globally and we were faced with extremely challenging lead-times. The procurement and engineering teams at CIL delivered both pre-production samples and launch product on time and in-line with expectations. Full production is now underway and we look forward to developing a long standing relationship with Breeze Technologies.”

Breeze Technologies director Kevin Crofts said of the project: “We chose CIL not just because the company is local, but because the build quality is excellent and the staff have great communication skills. CIL has provided high levels of customer care and attention to detail, combined with an efficient and effective purchasing department. The company has obviously invested heavily in keeping up to date with its manufacturing and test equipment and has matched this with investment in top quality staff.”

Breeze Technologies manufactures a range of digital products that address video encoding, transmission and reception applications encompassing applications such as broadcasting, education and training, sales and marketing, health, security and industrial monitoring.
