CadSoft’s EAGLE software continues to gain global popularity due to its competitive pricing and multiple licensing options. It already includes many features normally found in much more expensive tools such as; autorouter, copper pour, forward and back annotation, electrical and design rule checking, any-angle part placement and scripting to automate routine jobs such as placing card edge fingers and initialising title blocks.
Commenting upon the announcement, Marianne Culver, CadSoft General Manager said: This is excellent news and a true testament to the quality and value of our unique EAGLE product. Since CadSoft’s acquisition by Premier Farnell, we are accelerating our strategy to meet design engineers’ needs globally, supporting them with even more sophisticated software and features, as well as a more comprehensive range of entry points.
